ABOUT NESTALLY

Hi, I’m Jake, founder of NESTALLY.

My journey toward creating NESTALLY began long before I designed my first product.

I was born in Minnesota and raised with a deep appreciation for simplicity, craftsmanship, and respect for the world around us. My grandparents built a multi-generational family farm in Iowa after immigrating from the Netherlands, where they raised their family through hard work, resourcefulness, and a strong connection to the land.

Growing up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, I was fortunate to form friendships with members of the Amish community. Their approach to life left a lasting impression on me — focusing on simplicity, intentional choices, quality craftsmanship, and creating only what is truly needed. They taught me that the best products do not need to be complicated; they need to be thoughtfully designed, durable, and made with purpose.

My academic journey further shaped how I think about everyday living. With a Ph.D. in neuroscience, I have spent years studying the connection between our environment, our behaviors, and our well-being. This perspective reinforced my belief that the products we surround ourselves with should support healthier, more mindful lives.

As a father of three, I wanted to bring these values into my own home. I searched for everyday products that were simple, sustainable, easy to use, and built to last — products that families could truly trust. When I could not find them, I created NESTALLY.

Today, NESTALLY is a family-focused lifestyle brand inspired by thoughtful design and mindful living.
